New Nissan Titan vs. Ford F-150
Standard V8 Power and Unmatched Style – See How the Nissan Titan Compares to Similar Pickup Trucks
Fans of the legendary Nissan lineup are lucky to have not one, but two, versatile pickup trucks to choose from. Nissan produces both the light-duty Nissan Frontier pickup and the heavy-duty Nissan Titan, allowing St. Louis drivers two impressive options for getting the pickup power and style they need, with renowned Nissan engineering and quality. At AutoCenters Nissan, we’re proud to carry both great models in our showroom here in Herculaneum.
If you’re in the market for a new pickup that can tow thousands of pounds, and looks great doing it, consider the new Nissan Titan we have currently available. It comes standard with V8 power you have to see to believe, and it has a range of highly customizable options to choose from in terms of style, trims, and features.
While the Nissan Titan is a formidable truck for any St. Louis driver, we understand there are other competing models that may be vying for your attention. To help make your research and decision-making process easier, we’ve illustrated the benefits and strengths of choosing our Nisan over one of its main competitors, the Ford F-150.
The Nissan Titan vs. the Ford F-150
- Standard power. With the Nissan Titan, you don’t have to go far, move up trim levels, or spend a lot of extra money to get great V8 power. That’s because the Titan only offers V8 power, with a standard 5.6-liter V8 engine with 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. The Ford F-150, on the other hand, gets its base power from a V6 engine that puts out just 325 horsepower. There are other engines available for the F-150, including a similar V8, but they’re optional, extra, and have to be specifically requested.
- Base towing capacity. With this standard, powerful engine, the Nissan Titan also tows more than the F-150 does right out of the gate. Base towing capacity for the Titan starts at more than 9,200 pounds, while the lowest towing capacity for the F-150 is only 7,500 pounds, and it goes up in degrees from that point.
- Tech features. The Nissan Titan also offers many more standard features for technology and comfort than the Ford F-150. While the F-150 is sparsely equipped at the base model, the base Titan starts you off with a slew of sought-after amenities, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, touchscreen technology, power windows and locks, remote locking and unlocking, a lockable tailgate, and multiple USB ports. The Ford F-150 doesn’t have any of these features standard. Drivers even have to splurge on extra packages and features just to get one USB port in the base model Ford.
- Convenient size. Both pickups are heavy duty machines capable of handling your toughest tasks, and both have similar exterior measurements. However, the Nissan Titan is ever so slightly smaller on the exterior than the F-150. It measures a little shorter in height, width, and length, which makes the Nissan easier to park and maneuver in traffic. It also has a slightly smaller ground clearance, which means it’s still elevated high enough to give you a commanding view of the road, but not so high that you feel as if you’re hoisting and climbing up into a monster truck.
