Popular with Drivers Throughout St. Louis, See How the Nissan Rogue Stands Up to the Competition

SUVs and crossovers are tremendously popular in the St. Louis area, and across the country. Families and single professionals alike choose small SUVs every day because they offer versatile cargo storage, an elevated commanding view of the road, and a spacious interior. At AutoCenters Nissan in Herculaneum, we’re proud to bring local drivers a selection of one of the best small SUVs available, the Nissan Rogue.

The Nissan Rogue is a five-passenger SUV that’s been driven and chosen by St. Louis drivers for years. It’s fun to drive, easy to park, and comfortable for both drivers and passengers. It also comes with a long list of the features people want, many of which are standard across the lineup.

While we think the Nissan Rogue is perfect for many of our customers, we also know it has some competition that may be vying for your attention. Read on to see how we’ve compared our Rogue to the similarly sized Jeep Cherokee and see firsthand all the ways we’ve discovered where the Nissan outshines the competition.

The Nissan Rogue vs. the Jeep Cherokee

  • Fuel economy. The Nissan Rogue will take you further on a tank of gas than the Jeep Cherokee. For example, the EPA averages the base model, entry-level Nissan Rogue earning 30 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway, and 34 mpg combined. Meanwhile, the base model Jeep Cherokee earns a rating of 21 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and only 24 mpg combined.
  • Cargo space. The Jeep Cherokee can’t compete with the Nissan Rogue when it comes to hauling cargo. Whether you golf, camp, or cart kids to and from the lacrosse and soccer fields, the Rogue can help you bring along more of what’s important. The Nissan cargo hold accommodates nearly 37 cubic feet of gear, while the Cherokee cargo hold tops out at 25.8 cubic feet of space.
  • Comfort and passenger space. If you have a long commute in the St. Louis area, you’ll love completing your daily drives in the Nissan Rogue a little more than you would in a Jeep Cherokee. That’s because the Rogue offers drivers and front seat passengers two inches of extra headroom and extra legroom when compared side by side to the Jeep SUV.
  • Standard features. The Nissan Rogue has a longer list of cutting-edge standard features than the Jeep Cherokee as well. For example, the Rogue has multiple USB ports standard, while the Cherokee only has one. Also, the Nissan has many of the latest, advanced safety features standards, including blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and auto high beam control. The Jeep Cherokee, on the other hand, doesn’t offer any of these same features standards, and most don’t make an appearance until the upper trim levels, which also adds on extra expense.
