Ballpark Village is one of St. Louis’ most intriguing areas. Thoughtfully designed to offer a plethora of conveniences, events, and activities, it’s a must-visit for anyone in the city. Here are some of the newest features of this ever-evolving space.

What Is Ballpark Village?

Ballpark Village is a prime shopping, dining, and entertainment area nestled in the heart of the St. Louis central business district. Anchored by Busch Stadium, this mixed-use development is perfectly positioned to cater to sports fans who are looking to make a full day and night of their visit to the area. From left-center field, you can easily see the outline of this multi-story destination. The Gateway Arch riverfront is within walking distance of Ballpark Village, as are several St. Louis museums, making this area a must-see stop if you’re new to the city, and a favorite go-to for locals.

New 65-Foot Big Screen at Bally Sports Live!

The wall behind Bally Sports Live! formerly featured a 40-foot television screen flanked by four smaller screens. In early 2023, these five screens came out to make room for one massive 65-foot LED screen. To stay in line with the wall’s former purpose, the new installation can show up to five programs at one time. If you’re feeling nostalgic about the old 40-foot screen, you can see it in its new location behind the live music stage.

Bally Sports Live! at St. Louis Ballpark is no stranger to innovative installations. The 20,000-square-foot facility features two levels of dining and entertainment beneath a retractable 100-foot-long glass roof. This allows fans to enjoy a comfortable open-air experience in warm weather months and year-round dining, concerts, and performances even when it’s cold outside. The 200-seat restaurant serves a decadent selection of comfort food favorites, including toasted ravioli, wings, whiskey onion rings, nachos, tacos, and Delicious St. Louis burgers.

Koibito Poke

Koibito Poke has garnered national attention, but this restaurant chain has some notable St. Louis roots. It was co-founded by former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Todd Stottlemyre. Stottlemyre pitched for the team from 1996 to 1998. Today, he’s the CEO of Koibito Poke, which announced in late 2022 that a new location will soon open in Ballpark Village for 2023.

The restaurant will cover an impressive 1,500 square feet beside Bally Sports Live! and feature both indoor dining and an outdoor patio. Koibito Poke is known for its distinctive blend of Hawaiian and Japanese cuisine. The menu features just five go-to bowls. However, you can also build your own bowl to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

If you’re new to Koibito Poke, try The First Timer Bowl. It’s an aptly-named option that includes Hawaiian tuna, edamame, cucumber, pineapple, green onion, and crab mix. The bowl is built over your choice of rice or mixed greens then dressed in the house sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria

Katie’s Pizza & Pasta is already a local favorite around St. Louis with locations in Rock Hill and Town and Country. The menu includes Italian favorites with a gourmet twist. You can find sophisticated starters, including crab arancini, fritto calamari, and wild boar ragu and polenta. The handmade pasta includes intriguing options, such as squid ink spaghetti, robiola-filled ravioli, and hand-rolled spinach cannelloni. And on Katie’s St. Louis pizzas, you’ll find all manner of intriguing combinations, such as the Ezzo Pepperoni featuring olio nuovo, stracciatella cheese, Ezzo pepperoni, Calabrian chili paste, and wildflower honey.

In 2023, the chain will open its third location at 751 Clark St. in Ballpark Village. Situated just across from Gate 4 of Busch Stadium, this is a prime location for a game-day bite. The 10,000-square-foot restaurant will include a wood-fired grill, glass-walled pasta station, indoor seating for 250, and an outdoor patio that can accommodate another 100 guests. In addition to sit-down dining, Katie’s will also feature a grab-and-go market for diners who want a quick purchase.

If you’re looking for a great special event spot in Ballpark Village, Katie’s can provide that as well. The new location is slated to include a private event space. The restaurant should open in the spring of 2023.

Condado Tacos

Condado Tacos will bring its bold flavors to St. Louis Ballpark in the summer of 2023. This location will include a spacious dining room, full bar, and outdoor patio. The restaurant is working with local artists to give the space that distinct St. Louis vibe. Condado Tacos offers build-your-own tacos, nachos, and bowls with a vast menu of options.

You can pack in the protein with roasted chicken, ground beef, chorizo, pulled pork, tequila-lime steak, braised beef brisket, Thai chili tofu, roasted Portobello, rice and black beans, Korean BBQ jackfruit, or veggie chorizo and poblanos. Top your creation with veggies, cheeses, salsa, and sauces. Add a side such as loaded tots or Mexican street corn and make it a meal to remember. This flavor-packed dining experience will soon be a staple for St. Louis Ballpark visitors.

Spark St. Louis Coworking Space

One of the more recent additions to Ballpark Village is an innovative new workspace option for the city’s remote employees and entrepreneurs. Spark St. Louis is a coworking facility that offers private offices, shared workspaces, and plenty of perks. The building features a comfortable lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows, a shared kitchen, and a mother’s room for nursing or pumping. Concierge services make it easy to get ahold of anything you might need, while the on-site gourmet coffee and craft beer bar serves plenty of tasty picks to enhance your day.

Members can sign up for a drop-in desk, dedicated desk, or furnished private office. The co-working space also features a podcast studio, zoom room, and meeting rooms. With access to high-speed internet, color copiers, scanners, and print stations, all the essentials are handled.
