The Nissan Pathfinder carries over to 2024 largely unchanged. You can expect it to deliver the impressive performance, utility, and value that helped its predecessor stand out in the crowded midsize SUV segment.

Nissan designed the Pathfinder as a family vehicle, and the 2024 model features a handsome exterior that seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary design elements. Its squared-off body and upright front end make it look bold and imposing, while muscular curves and unpainted fender flares give it rugged appeal. On the inside, the Nissan SUV boasts an airy and comfortable cabin with modern styling and excellent fit and finish.

The Pathfinder can seat up to eight people in three rows of seats. Passengers in the first two rows have ample legroom and headroom to stretch out comfortably. The rear seats are less spacious, but they’re still among the most accommodating in the segment. This Nissan model offers a maximum cargo capacity of 80.5 cubic feet, enough to fit your entire family’s luggage and equipment as you head off for adventures in the St. Louis area.

Besides being stylish, spacious, and comfortable, the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder is a competent vehicle. Its potent V-6 engine provides enough grunt to handle almost any driving task. The engine mates to a nine-speed automatic transmission to deliver a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds, which is excellent for a midsize SUV.

Configuration Options

For the 2024 model year, the Nissan Pathfinder is available in five trim levels: the base S, the SV, the SL, the adventure-ready Rock Creek, and the range-topping Platinum. These trims vary in specifications and features, so you’ll want to decide which one has what you need. Let’s find out more about the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder trim levels.

Pathfinder S

Despite its affordable starting MSRP of $35,980, the S has plenty of features, making it a great value proposition. This trim features a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that produces 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. Most of the other trims also have this engine. On the inside, you’ll find cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, tri-zone automatic temperature control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, an 8-inch touch-screen display, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a six-speaker audio system, four USB ports, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

For driver-assistance features, the entry-level Pathfinder has pedestrian monitoring, forward and reverse automated emergency braking, forward and reverse collision alert, automated high beams, blind-spot detection, lane departure alert, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic warning, a rear-seat alert, and driver-attention monitoring.

Available options include a remote start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, a virtual key for locking, unlocking, and starting the vehicle with your smartphone, and second-row captain’s chairs. Note that choosing the captain’s chairs reduces the seating capacity to seven.

Pathfinder SV

With a starting MSRP of $38,800, the SV has all the features of the S plus a 10-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a remote start. It also receives Nissan’s innovative ProPilot Assist system, a semi-autonomous driving technology with lane-centering assistance and adaptive cruise control.

Opting for the SV will also give you access to the SV Premium Package, which includes second-row captain’s chairs, a power liftgate, a panoramic moonroof, and an upgraded transmission cooling system. You can add a Class II tow hitch receiver that unleashes the Pathfinder’s full towing potential.

Pathfinder SL

The SL has a starting MSRP of $42,400 and adds leather upholstery, a 10-way power front-passenger seat, a heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 9-inch touch-screen display, a wireless device charger, and navigation. Additional driver aids include traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system.

You can upgrade the SL with the SL Premium Package, which includes all-season tires, 20-inch wheels, upgraded transmission cooling, second-row captain’s chairs, a panoramic moonroof, heated second-row seats, and a 13-speaker Bose audio system. A Class II tow hitch receiver is also available.

Pathfinder Rock Creek

With a starting MSRP of $43,800, the Pathfinder Rock Creek is the obvious choice if you frequently venture away from the pavement. Along with the SV’s standard features, this trim has a high-output version of the 3.6-liter V-6 engine, producing 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. It has standard all-wheel drive, an off-road-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, a roof rack, LED fog lights, an off-road camera, a Class II tow hitch receiver, and enhanced transmission cooling. It features distinctive exterior and interior styling elements, water-repellent synthetic leather upholstery, and second-row captain’s chairs.

Pathfinder Platinum

The top-of-the-line Platinum starts at $48,950 and includes all the standard and available features of the SL. It offers upgraded leather upholstery, cooled front seats, a hands-free power liftgate, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a 120-volt power outlet, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a head-up display.
